David Akin has more than 37 years of experience in the business technology industry. He is renowned for creating TekTrak, a proprietary process that empowers companies to implement effective changes, resulting in increased bottom-line profits through a well-validated business case.

Hardware, software, content, and communication workflow is tied together via a wide array of existing processes, across multiple vendors and in various states of evolution. Dave earned his B.S. degree in Geology with a minor in Mathematics from San Diego State University. In 1986, he embarked on his professional journey at Advanced Image Systems in Glendale, CA. There, he revolutionized the sales approach, introducing an analytical and transparent method that enabled customers to grasp their true cost of ownership, reduce operating expenses and increase productivity. His innovative approach quickly earned him top sales honors and led to a promotion into management. As the industry underwent mergers and acquisitions, Dave excelled in restructuring and optimizing the profitability of various technology companies, eventually rising to the position of VP of Sales.

Over time, Dave expanded his analytical capabilities and facilitated lateral and national growth in sales transactions. He became adept at proposing and validating a wide range of technology solutions, encompassing hardware, software, workflow, and contract analysis. In 2006, together with his partner, Patricia Roulston, Dave co-founded TEAM Solutions Group, a company driven by the vision of assisting businesses in reducing costs and adapting to evolving technology needs.

His unique strategy proved successful, with TekTrak at the core of TSG's accomplishments. TekTrak involves operational and financial analysis that compares a company's existing technologies with potential solutions, building a solid business case for successful implementation. Personal Life

Beyond his professional pursuits, Dave has excelled academically and been an exceptional athlete throughout his life. A lover of soccer and cycling, he was a competitive soccer player and cyclist in his youth, and even after four hip surgeries, he remains an elite biker in his age group. Additionally, he remains a passionate soccer fan. Dave is happily married and resides in the suburbs of Chicago. In his leisure time, when not working on a TekTrak he can be found riding, working on home projects, or cherishing precious moments with his grandchild.
